Example of a Platinum Member zpage Layout
For a Platinum zpage, you get 7 distinct sections plus an end of page Terms & Conditions text box to place your business terms in. Like Gold, Section 3 has five sub-sections rather than just the one for Bronze or three for Silver, but with Platinum you also get a Section 6 and Section 7 (and a page sub-menu to navigate to them). A Platinum zpage is essentially a complete basic website on one page.
The default page layout is much the same as for the other membership classes, but with Platinum can you change this layout if you want to as (like Gold) Platinum members can pay for any amount of customisation and additional design work if they want to. This will be done by a WebSmiths Designer at a 20% discounted rate (i.e. your Network Z member discount) of £40 per hour rather than their usual £50 per hour.
Just like the other example pages, we've set out below what the 7 sections of your zpage will look like and what options there are by default (you don't need to stick with these for Platinum). We have again used this pink background for our comments and headers, so you can see that these will not form part of your zpage. Again, to save your time in seeing how Platinum differs from the others, we have followed the same text coding logic as before. So on this page blue text applies to Bronze upwards, purple text Silver upwards, green text Gold upwards, and this red text to what is exclusive to Platinum. So, if you have already been through the Example Bronze, Silver and Gold pages you only need to read the red text on this page!
As we noted above, a Platinum zpage is essentially a complete basic website on one page and for the cost advertised represents a good deal of online presence for a relatively modest expenditure. The only caveat we would like to point out is that although Platinum allows for unlimited customisation at the discounted hourly rate of £40 p/h, it would seem that anything in excess of a few hours worth of extra work would point to your having your own standalone website (you can still get traffic from Network Z with a Listing Membership - see the Join page). Our partner operation, WebSmiths, can make you your own website from as little as £400, so if you need more than say 4 hours work maximum on customising your zpage, it would seem you would be better served by having your own website - we won't turn anyone away if you still want a zpage, but it is something that's worth considering as we wouldn't want to see anyone paying more for a zpage than for their own standalone site, unless they have some specific reason for doing so.
Section 1: Your Header/Welcome
Option 1:
Image ONLY Based. This is suitable if you have an image where there is enough blank space to place text so that it is still legible. Our designers will place your text in the best place(s) so it looks good and is readable on desktops, tablets and mobile phones. We will generally use the Arial font for most of your text, but we can use a different one to suit your theme in Section 1 if desired.
Under this option, you get to put:
i) your logo (if you don't have one, we can put a free image from our stock),
ii) your business, personal, project or trading name, e.g. "Carlo's Cakes",
iii) up to 2 strap lines like the one below, advertising what you do,
iv) a social media bar with all your links (10 max).
v) a page sub-menu.

Option 2:
Image & Colour strip combined. This is suitable if you have a very busy image where there is not enough blank space to place the text and keep it still legible, or if you just prefer to have your text on plain background. Our designers will place your logo and social media bar in the best place to suit your text and image.

Section 2: Your Introduction
This is where you tell your zpage visitors who you are and what you do. Keep this reasonably brief and to the point. Research tells us you only get a few seconds to interest your visitor or they will click the back button and go somewhere else. You can also have up to 8 images here to place underneath your intro text.
Tell your visitors what you do in this section. Keep it brief, upbeat and punchy! Be positive!
You don't just offer "a service", you offer "a great service"; you don't just offer "French cuisine", you offer "traditional, delicious, French cuisine - all freshly imported directly from France", et cetera.
Choose images that fit with what you are saying and show your visitor what your page is about. The amount of text in the example below is about right for this Section. Don't go mad, don't bore - keep it simple!

Section 3: Your Main Content
This section can be sub-divided into up to 5 sub-sections labelled by us as 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d & 3e. For Silver membership 3a, 3b and 3c are included. Gold & Platinum additionally have 3d & 3e if wanted.
For all membership classes, Section 3 of your zpage is where you place your main content. This can be much longer than Section 2 because if your zpage visitor gets this far down your page then they are clearly interested in what you are offering.
So, this is where you will get to sell your product or service, or where you will place your main creative text if you are building a creative (e.g. authors, poets, artists, musicians etc.) zpage. You can place up to 6000 words of text here, so you have ample space to tell the world why they need you! You can also have up to 10 images in this Section which our designers will place in the most appropriate layout.
If you personally "are your business", i.e. you do everything and it's you that will do the job, e.g. a hedge cutter or gardener, then it's often a good idea to say something about yourself and put a picture. Research shows people are far more likely to contact you if you appear to be a friendly and approachable person.
In this section you might also want to expand on what you've said in Section 2 and give examples of work you've done.
This is a good place to explain your fee structure, turnaround times, availability et cetera.
You might also want to add any customer testimonials you have received and for Silver, Gold & Platinum members they can be placed in a carousel (see below) of up to 14 slides.
If, for example, you are a hedge cutter or operate a garden maintenance business, it would be a good idea to incorporate some photos of work done as your images. It is always best to use photos you have taken yourself that show actual jobs you have done, rather than just using stock photos from the internet.

Section 3b: Your Reviews/Testimonials Carousel
Research shows that many (if not most) customers/clients who are looking to buy a service or product will want to see reviews before deciding on a provider, and pretty much all businesses understand the value of collecting reviews.
It is best if these reviews are from independent agencies like Trustpilot, Judge.me or Google (3 well-known examples) or at least can be attributed to an independent source - see zpages.net/josephwyndham as an example - the reviews quoted were originally posted on Amazon and anyone can go and check them. But in any case, even if your reviews were only verbal and can't be verified, it is still worth including them. If you deal directly with customers/clients in a locality then adding the area is worth doing also as it makes it more personal.
If you have a source of independent reviews (e.g. Trustpilot) then we can add a feed to your zpage that will show your rating, but unfortunately we do have to charge a small additional setup fee for this as it's not that quick to do.

Section 3c: Your Bulletin Board
If you want people to follow what you're up to and keep coming back to your zpage, research shows that making regular updates is a good way to go. It can also help with your SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) as it keeps your zpage fresh with occasional new content. Consistently posting even just 1 or 2 times per month will get you results.
As a Silver, Gold and Platinum Member you have your own bulletin board which feeds directly from your Instagram account (if you don't have an Instagram account you can make one for free in about 2 minutes or less) and every time you make an Instagram post it will show up automatically on your zpage. It's a great way to advertise your next appearance at a local market, for example, or tell your customers about new products and services.
** Please Note: As Harry is an example, fictional character we have populated the Bulletin Board with some posts from real members. On your own zpage these would of course be your own posts.

Section 3d: Your Image Gallery
If your business or group is heavily reliant on publishing images (e.g. you are an artist or run a small gallery business) then Platinum's Section 3d Image Gallery could be just the place to showcase your offerings. You can add up to 40 images inclusively and more (depending on file size) using Platinum's additional customisation option. The only limiting factor is the amount of server storage space as very high resolution pictures can take up many hundreds of MB of disk space. If you wanted several hundred images, for example, then you would actually need your own standalone website, but for the 40 included in the Platinum membership cost, you will find zpages a good place to host with decent load speeds even for larger files and good layout accessibility.
The gallery section can be designed as an actual gallery (as below) if desired and various other features (e.g. enlargement on mouse rollover) can be added as required.
All of the pictures from this artist are available as custom sized giclées made to order.

Section 3e: Your Video Gallery
Your video gallery can host up to 4 videos (MP4) of any size, included in the cost advertised. If you want more than this, then more can be added under Platinum's additional customisation facility - the work for this charged at £40 p/h.
We will most likely host short videos (or more accurately low MB (megabyte) videos) directly from the zpages.net server while larger videos will (for the time being) be hosted on our (or your) YouTube channel so their size is not limited by our current server capacity.
We have included two examples below that are fed from our YouTube Channel so you can see how this works here in practice - it's actually pretty seamless and just takes a bit of time to do the uploading and linking. Realistically, in just one hour several additional videos could be added so it's not at all expensive to do from your perspective if your zpage needs a lot of videos on it.

WebSmiths can make you a marketing video (like the ones below) from around £125 upwards depending on what you want. If you have signed up to zpages you will also qualify for the Network Z member discount of 20%.

Now that you've explained who you are, what you do, your services, prices et cetera, it's time for your CTA. This is really important and like section 2, it should be very brief and to the point.

This is very common on many websites and in addition to your narrative text in Section 3a, it emphasizes and in many cases repeats, what you have on offer to draw your visitor's attention to things that might resonate with what they need or are looking for. There are many different ways to present FAQs, so for the sake of example, we have used just one popular method here, which is a Q & A grid with images. If you prefer another method, you can tell your designer when you speak to design your zpage layout.

This is a simple text section where you place your own Customer Terms (what you promise, what customers must do, cancellations, refunds, etc.). Keep it plain English, include your legal/trading name & contact details if they are not already in your footer, and add a “Last updated” date.
What you put here is not determined by Network Z as we are only your page host: it is up to you what should go in your Terms & Conditions. However, as we know from experience that many small businesses get stuck with this, we have created a couple of blog posts to help you out: you can find them under Network Admin Posts in the blog.
